TBSCG has implemented for JESSOPS a new E-learning platform which benefits to the users and the suppliers.
The Problem
The LMS in place was expensive to run and hard to customize.
The previous Jessops E-Learning platform had been put in place several years ago by a previous training team.
The new team at Jessops found the site to be expensive to run but also lacked the customisation required in such a fast paced business.
Another problem was that several suppliers that Jessops works closely with each had their own LMS platforms with seperate logins required for each staff member - this meant that there were over 5000 unique username / passwords held by Jessops for its’ staff.
The Solution
A new LMS highly customizable
TBSCG and Jessops worked together to produce a new LMS (Learning Management System) which was designed to be highly customizable and dynamic to reflect the business attitude.
Managers within the Jessops store have been given a sub admin role allowing them to manage their staff user details. Another solution integrated into the site was the inclusion of SSO’s to the supplier sites.

Thanks to the new LMS over 5,000 individual modules have been completed so far.
The site has been a great success and continues to grow daily with new content frequently added. To date over 5,000 individual modules have been completed and this number grows by the day.
The inclusion of the SSO’s has removed the need for users to have multiple logins and the sub admin level available to store managers has reduced the demand on the training team to provide support to the stores. Jessops is currently looking at setting up focus groups to further develop the sites with plans to include resources and events management in the near future.
What the users have gained: One stop portal for training at Jessops, one login for all, a dynamic website reflecting business trends.
Benefits for the suppliers: Suppliers are all keen to be involved with the site due to the success in the stores with more suppliers getting involved withE-Learning material the site has become a class leading example of what can be achieved for retail E-Learning.
