Felco: Managing local content on a global scale

Back in 2004, FELCO S.A., a Swiss-based company with global presence, had a totally static website and no clear visual identity.

TBSCG rolled-out a web-centric system to make the company’s communications more consistent.

TBSCG provided FELCO S.A. with a solution that addressed the aforementioned issues via one comprehensive web-centric system.

  • Multilingual content management. TeamSite is capable of handling all the languages in which the website is published, and a clearly-defined translation workflow has been set up to ensure that all content is correctly translated;
  • Multilingual website. With the help of LiveSite, all content is published in 14 different languages, including Russian, Chinese, Arabic and Greek;
  • Localized content.  Certain types of content – news, press releases and events – are managed by the local subsidiaries.  The FELCO team based in Australia, for example, is consequently able to add content that is tailored to the local audience;
  • Digital media asset management. MediaBin, a management system that handles media assets of all kinds, gives FELCO’s teams around the world permanent access to the company’s digital media database.
  • Consistent communications. Our Artistic Director pulled together FELCO’s visual identity (website, brochure, catalogue, magazine and packaging);
  • Well-written content. Our Editorial Director oversaw the rewriting of content in the aim of boosting sales and developing the company’s brand image;
  • Print management. Printed materials are generated via GMC PrintNet using content already present in the database;
