The Digital Studio was set up in 2010. Its aim? Provide content and design services for TBSCG’s clients. Self-interview by Stéphane Hérès, who heads up the Digital Studio team.
Could you briefly explain why the Digital Studio was created?
The idea was to provide TBSCG’s clients with a service that caters for all their content and design needs, be that editorial work (website content, articles, press releases…), video production (interviews, reports…), or design (corporate identity for print and/or web, design, photography and image retouching…).
Is most of the work executional, then?
No, because prior to carrying out the executional work we are involved in developing the information architecture and establishing the user experience and content strategy. We also develop the online tools to be used, such as Facebook contests, organising websites, putting together multichannel viral marketing campaigns, etc.
How many people currently make up the Digital Studio team?
There are 3 permanent team members. Our Artistic Director is based in La Rochelle. In our Wroclaw office we have someone who is responsible for performing the executional tasks, and I’m in charge of content as well as managing the Digital Studio.
Which of the projects you completed over the past year best represents the Digital Studio’s activity?
I would have to say FELCO passion, a printed and online magazine that we put together for FELCO, the world leader in pruning and cutting tools. It was a wonderful project, not only in terms of content and design, but also in terms of technical development: the magazine is automatically generated in several different languages using our database publishing solution.
What’s on the cards for 2011?
We currently have lots of projects in the pipeline, notably in the mobile applications field!
